Hubble versus Lemâitre?
November 17, 2011 by admin
The past weeks there was an interesting discussion in the science magazine ‘Nature’, about the question if Edwin Hubble stole the ideas of Georges Lemaître in the issue of Big Bang and the expanding universe. It could be proposed that Lemaître knew ‘Eureka’, as did Friedmann, so why not Hubble also? If all three drank from the same source (‘Eureka’), that would be the simplest explanation of why all three had the same inspiration, and the simplest explanation is usually the best one!
